Historic Downtown Larkspur

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the magical stretch of Magnolia Avenue known as "Downtown Larkspur" seems anything but downtown. A walk down this street is like time travel into one of America's past eras when California meant gold, lumber, cattle and infinite possibilities.   

 
Today, fashionable stores and restaurants line the street among the dozens of historic buildings and landmarks. Fine crystal, lingerie, art, clothing, foods, coffee houses, cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance.

Larkspur's Heritage Preservation Board periodically sponsors special heritage events, including Historic Larkspur Walking Tours of Baltimore-Madrone Canyon and the Historic Downtown.
